Accounting Student Opportunity – Tax Season Role

Gain hands-on experience in personal and corporate tax, work directly with a CPA, and build real-world skills during tax season.

We are a growing CPA firm in Calgary looking for accounting students to join our team during tax season. This role is designed as a learning opportunity where you will gain hands-on exposure to real tax files, professional workflows, and CPA firm operations.

What You Will Learn

• How personal and corporate tax returns are prepared

• How to work with real client financial documents

• How to use professional tax and accounting software

• How CPA firms organize and review files

• How to identify and flag issues instead of guessing

Your Responsibilities

• Inputting tax slips into tax software

• Organizing and labeling client documents

• Comparing current year information with prior year

• Downloading CRA carryforward information

• Assisting with bookkeeping cleanup

• Following firm checklists and procedures

We Are Looking For Someone Who

• Is currently studying accounting 

• Pays attention to details and double-checks work

• Is comfortable working with numbers and Excel

• Asks questions instead of guessing

• Is available during tax season (Feb–Apr)

Position Details

• Contract: Tax Season (Feb–Apr)

• Location: In-office in Calgary (training provided)

• Pay: Competitive hourly wage

• Potential to become permanent after tax season
